Did a 5K this afternoon. Completed in 40 mins. Which means I cut 5 mins off of my last one!! (Back in June ‘10). YAY!!

Today I also did some situps and arms. 

I’m starting to get a lot of “Are you losing weight?” “Looks like you’ve lost a good amount.” Which is awesome. 

And I can tell my clothes are fitting much looser. Pants & shirts (especially in the sleeves!!)

I weigh in tonight so fingers crossed!! :)

Remember when I said

I didn’t want to go to the gym 3 hours ago? Well I went. FOR TWO HOURS.

I did the treadmill and the stair stepper for about 30 mins total. Then did weights for about an hour. And then did 20 more mins of cardio. Go me!

Also, ran into some old high school friends. The one guy told me I need to go more so we have a good excuse to take a break! Haha so maybe now that the weather is getting crappier out ill make more use of my $10/mo at planet fitness!

Now, going into WW for Weigh In. Wish me luck fitblr friends! :)

Weigh In Wednesday: Weight Watchers Week #6

Week 5 Weight:  215.8

This week’s Weight: 216.2

This week’s Difference: +.4

Total Loss: -4.6

I’m going to attribute it to me wearing a dress last week and jeans this week.  Since jeans weigh about 2lbs & I only gained .4, that means I really lost something like 1.6… right?

but really guys, jeans are heavy!

Having this occur makes me think I should be weighing myself a few mornings a week, just to get a feel for where I am throughout the week.  That way I can still figure out how I did no matter what I am wearing.

I know some of you out there weigh in everyday. That’s too much for me, especially since I am almost always running out the door.  But I think maybe once or twice isn’t a bad idea for me!

Non-Scale Victory

Over the weekend, I went through a bunch of college clothes my parents house.  I am talking BAGS & BAGS of clothes.  The intention was to give away a lot of the things I didn’t want.  I found myself not being able to part with A LOT of the items. Either for sentimental reasons or because I would use them as benchmark items for my weight loss and  hopefully fit into one day.

Let’s be honest, I know I should never wear the pink sequined halter top I wore my freshman year of college to a concert, or the “going out top” that I made out with the cute frat boy in… no matter how skinny I get. But for whatever reason, I found these items, and many more like them in my “Keep” pile.  It has always been hard for me to part with clothes.

I found a TON of jeans that I had stashed away.  Most of them were a few sizes too small and some were junior sizes.  HOWEVER, I did find about FOUR pairs that fit!!  I took them home and am currently wearing one of them as we speak, errr, as i type.  They are mostly 14s, the size I wear now. So I didn’t drop a pant size, yet.  But there are a bunch of smaller sizes that I am still holding on to. I can wear jeans to work and only had 2 or 3 pairs in rotation.  It’s like I went shopping… but for free!

I knew there was a reason I was a hoarder! :-)  

I took some pictures of me in one of the pairs, mostly for a benchmark.

This week’s Difference: -2.6lb

Total Loss: -5lbs

WEEK NUMBER 5 and 5 POUNDS!!!   FIVE IS MY NUMBER TODAY!! WHOOOO HOOOOO

I realize that is only 1lb a week, but I am totally ok with that. There have been quite a few challenges over the last 5 weeks.  Here’s to hoping this sets the tone for the fall!! :-)

ps- I will be making a post later with my September Goals… Thanks for the reminder fitblrs!

Total Loss: -2.4

I know what I need to change.  So I am going to focus on that.  Challenges this coming week:

  •  
    • Tonight: Dinner with family (I suggested Applebees, WW Friendly)
    • Tomorrow: Work HH for associates leaving
    • Friday & Saturday: Down the shore.  I am going to try to bring healthful & filling snacks and not drink too much.

Does anyone have more suggestions on how to mitigiate the above challenges? 

EDIT: I also have my period this week, so I am hoping that has some factor into the uppage on the scale.

Lbs to Short Term Goal (5%): < 8lbs to go!

TWO POINT TWO POUNDS!!! WOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!

I ate out a ton more than I wanted to this week. I did start working out again this week. I went a to the gym and did a few walks.  Anyway, I am super excited & proud.

The dude at that does the weigh in said, ”Congrats, that is really great! The more important question is though: How do you feel?” 

So I ask you fellow tumblrs, how do you feel?

Weight Watchers: Weekly Weigh In #2

Week 1 Weight: 220.8 (yes, that’s almost what I was when I started this journey the end of 2009.)

This weeks Weight: 219.8

Difference: -1lb

I’ll take it. I was on vacation last week and although I tried to portion the “family dinners” we cooked and had seafood on our night out, the booze, ice cream and snacks took a toll. 

I need to kick the exercise into high gear.

I bought the 3month planner & the food counter book so hopefully they will help me track food better and look at patterns, etc.

My First Goal for WW - which is 5%, what they recommend- is to lose 11 lbs. 10 lbs to go!
